Plan Your Party
.
. .Party Planning Guidelines
|
Budget
You need to decide how much you want to spend on your party. The budget
will determine what you will include in your party and what you will leave
out, so it is very important to consider. Sticking to a budget will also
allow you to not go overboard and spend what you cannot afford. The options
are endless and there are many details so you need to decide what your needs
and wants are and approximately how much you are able to spend.
Number of Guests
Make a guest-list of people you want to invite to the party. Knowing the
amount of guests will affect the amount of food and space needed. It will
also help you get your thoughts organized so that you won’t forget to invite
anyone.
Place
What kind of party are you considering? Is it formal or casual? How many
people will you be entertaining? Will people be dancing or playing games?
All these questions factor into what type of place the party is held at.
Food
The biggest thing to consider when planning the food for a party is how
many mouths will you be feeding. Knowing how many people will assure that
you order enough food and do not run out…that is the worst!! Also think
about if you want a sit-down meal or a buffet? You could also make a casual
party by serving only appetizers and or finger foods or only serving coffee
and dessert.
Tableware
Use these guidelines to figure out the amount of tableware supplies you
will need for your party, and remember it’s better to be safe than sorry!
- Plastic Plates - 2 per person
- Beverage Napkins - 2-3 per person
- Lunch Napkins - 2 per person
- Cutlery Sets - 1 per person plus 1 extra fork per person for dessert
- Plastic Cups - 4 per person
**Remember each party is an individual party, unique
in it’s own way. Let everything fall into place and enjoy your party and
guests!!** |
